Grant & Fund Development Committee

The mission of the Grant & Fund Development Committee is to identify and develop programs of giving and grants to fund LTC strategic initiatives.

Focus Areas

1. Private Grants: Identify and apply for grants from private foundations. Assumptions: employ private foundation grant writer; coordinate with Events and Programs; special accounting support from Finance
2. Annual Gala: Establish and maintain a high‐profile community annual fundraising gala to support a signature LTC mission. Assumptions: identify gala chairperson; identify signature goal (not operating expenses) which holds passion/traction in the giving space; engage professional fundraiser
3. Special Programs: Identify or create special programs that increase LTC community profile, even if revenue neutral, which provide soft support to other LTC fundraising activities Assumptions: ideas/leads generated ad‐hoc across LTC; coordinate with Events and Programs
4. Government Grants: Identify and apply for grants from government agencies Assumptions: employ government grant writer; coordinate with Events and Programs; special accounting support from
5. Finance Endowment: Establish and maintain endowment to support the long‐term fiscal health of LTC. Assumptions: Long‐term but key goal; identify subcommittee chair with lead pocketbook;
   identify key donors for long‐term (estate) gifts
