Dawn currently manages the Business Applications Group for Capital One Bank. She has over 20 years of experience in Information Technology during which she has taught IT classes, owned a consulting business and finally landed as a systems engineer at Hibernia National Bank which was purchased by Capital One in late 2005. Dawn moved from the Systems Engineering group to the Applications group in 2004. She and her team are responsible for the delivery, development and support of the applications used across Capital One Bank. The Applications team consists of database administrators, business systems analysts, a data warehousing group, developers, engineers and application support. Dawn and her team are striving to move the bank forward through the use of technology. Dawn has a Bachelor of Science from LSU and is a permanent native of New Orleans.

Mark has previously served as CIO for the City of New Orleans, and founded several successful technology companies in New Orleans. Mark is a long time resident of New Orleans and graduated from Trinity Episcopal School and Isidore Newman High School. Bob Fudickar has served as the Technology Industry Director for the Louisiana Department of Economic Development since August, 2005. He brings 25 years of business development experience to the LED with an emphasis on technology, finance and capital markets. Most recently, he served as executive director of the Investor Relations Practice for ConsulttUS Group. He, also, served in technology related finance and investor relations capacities for Arthur Andersen, Avex Investments, and CenturyTel. He began his career as an investment banker with Paine Webber. His background demonstrates his command of international technology markets since his tenure with uniView Technologies, a leading technology bridge between China and the U.S. He focuses his efforts on working with universities, research organizations and businesses to promote research and development of new technologies in the state; interact with technology companies to understand opportunities and obstacles to development; and lead team efforts to attract new technology businesses to the state and start new in-state ventures.

Bob sits on the Southern Growth Tech Council Board, and the Louisiana Optical Network Initiative Management Council Board. He attended Louisiana State University and graduated from University of Louisiana.

Millie Atkins joined CenturyTel in 1998 and has held several marketing positions, including Media Buyer/Planner, Senior Coordinator of the High-Speed Internet product campaign, the Directory Canvass/Distribution Campaign strategies, and the regional local marketing initiatives. Currently, she manages the Lifeline/Link-Up Low-income Program and is responsible for corporate relations within CenturyTel’s Corporate Communication Department.

Before joining CenturyTel, Ms. Atkins held several positions for 13 years at South Central Bell in Monroe. She was a part of the toll team that successfully converted the Ruston Central Office to coaxial cable in 1987. She also worked as volunteer Chairperson of the Ouachita Enterprise Community organization and received the 1998 Louisiana Minority Small Business Advocate of the Year Award.

Sue currently serves on the LED Commerce and Industry Board, the Louisiana Workforce Investment Board, and the Delta Community College Board. She earned a bachelors degree in English from Grambling State University. She also attended ULM and graduated from Madison University in Biloxi with a Masters in Marketing.

Ms. Atkins resides in Monroe and spends a great deal of her time in community outreach.

Carl J. Bentley is Vice President of Strategic Staffing Solutions’ corporate team and manages the day-to-day operations of its largest branch, the Detroit branch, as well as several other branch locations across the U.S. Bentley has nearly 40 years of experience in management and information technology. His contributions have afforded S³ success in excellent customer service and marketing which has been a central part of the company’s continued growth. Before joining S³ in 1999, Bentley served the City of Detroit as Director of the Information Technology Services Department and previous to that was the Vice President of the Telecommunication Services Division at Comerica Incorporated. Bentley is very involved in his local community, serving as president of the trustee board for Mariners Inn, a Detroit shelter and treatment center for homeless men. Business Recovery Center

In early 2006, the LTC entered into a strategic partnership with the State of Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Economic Development (LED). LED has provided funding for the LTC to develop and implement a business recovery / office incubator center for Greater New Orleans small businesses hard hit by Hurricane Katrina. The center focuses on helping technology companies but any business can participate. The LTC/LED – Business Recovery Center (BRC) currently serves as temporary office space for several displaced businesses who might otherwise have had to close their doors. Each company located in the center pays a small fee for the space and the multiple services provided to them. The BRC has received additional donations from the Pittsburgh Technology Council (20 IBM laptop computers), Cox Business Services (high-speed internet and phone service) and Waldemar S.
