Our mission is to assist with the technological development of individuals and member organizations (who are users and producers of technology) by providing events, programs, organizational support and other value-added services that contribute to their competitiveness and growth. The Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) hosts about 60 events per year. Our members come from virtually every industry: banking, legal, accounting, software and web development, telecommunications, equipment manufacturing, professors, students, military, research, local, state and federal government and much more. This web site is full of information on our members and the multitude of services that we provide to our members and the community, including our Special Interest Groups (SIG's), which are designed to fulfill a specific need in multiple industry and technology areas. By providing value to our members, partners and other organizations, we'll help them grow; and that contributes to the economic development of the area.

LTC Board Member

Ed Krause is a Partner with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) in the Chemical, Energy, and Natural Resources practice. He is responsible for Utilities business relationships on the Gulf Coast. His office is in Slidell Louisiana within the Oak Harbor complex. He has over 30 years of Information Systems and Business experience in Utilities and the Public Sector.

Ed spent 18 years at Entergy Corporation in various Management Information Systems and Customer Care business positions. He led the Customer Information System program for Louisiana and Texas and other several large program implementations while managing the Louisiana IT support functions.

Prior to joining CSC, Ed held Principal and Director positions with Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), Cap Gemini consulting, SAIC, Deloitte and BearingPoint over an 12 year period. Some of his responsibilities
included: Oversight of a Utilities Customer practice, oversight of Deregulation systems, Customer care applications, and State Government management and implementation of IT systems.

Ed has a B.S. in Business and Computer Science from Tulane University. He has held Director positions with the Greater New Orleans United Way, the City of Harahan and has been actively involved with Holy Cross High School in New Orleans. He is very dedicated to the rebuilding of the Gulf Coast and New Orleans area.

Todd Bouillion CIO/Vice President GCR & Associates, Inc. LTC Board Member Todd Bouillion is Vice President and CIO of GCR and Associates, Inc. (GCR). Mr. Bouillion joined GCR in 1993 and is responsible for GCR’s corporate IT strategy and growth of GCR’s Technology Solutions Sector. Mr. Bouillion has a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of New Orleans. Mr. Bouillion provides executive leadership for GCR’s Technology Services business sector, including senior advisory and consulting services to numerous private and public sector clients. Todd has established standards, best practices, and policies for effective management of custom software development projects. In this role, Todd successfully led the firm’s activities to achieve Carnegie Mellon Software Engineering Institute’s CMMI Level 2 rating.

Lee Pryor has many years of experience as a founder and Chief Executive for start up and late stage entrepreneurial companies.

He began his career with Time Warner. He then moved to IBM in mainframe sales. He left to found a computer supply company that grew to 55 sales people, over 300 employees and $48 million in sales.

Subsequently he ran five both private and public companies. These start up and late stage companies were in a variety of industries including e-commerce, Internet database publishing and marketing, online on demand printing, computer supplies distribution and technology contract manufacturing.

He attended Johns Hopkins University, the US Naval Academy and graduated from Northwestern University after which he spent two years with the Counter Intelligence Corp in Japan and China.

Lee is a former member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and has been on the Board of The National Defense University, Kent School, and a number of privately held companies. He is a member of the New York Yacht Club as well as the Explorers Club of New York.

He is a business executive coach for emerging enterprises and is a speaker on the topics of entrepreneurship and managing for success at venture capital conferences, association meetings and business schools. He is the author of “The Savvy Entrepreneur, an Insider's Secrets to Managing for Success. ” His most recent book, “Bouncing Back, Lessons Learned from the Katrina Disaster” will be released in March 2006.

David Claiborne, The Claiborne Company (LTC Member)- Database management and Salesforce.com implementation for the LTC's new Membership Management processes and was key to the development of the new portal. David enticed the donation of software and 10 user licenses from Salesforce.com to the LTC.

Business Recovery Center

In early 2006, the LTC entered into a strategic partnership with the State of Louisiana and the Louisiana Department of Economic Development (LED). LED has provided funding for the LTC to develop and implement a business recovery / office incubator center for Greater New Orleans small businesses hard hit by Hurricane Katrina. The center focuses on helping technology companies but any business can participate. The LTC/LED – Business Recovery Center (BRC) currently serves as temporary office space for several displaced businesses who might otherwise have had to close their doors.

Each company located in the center pays a small fee for the space and the multiple services provided to them. The BRC has received additional donations from the Pittsburgh Technology Council (20 IBM laptop computers), Cox Business Services (high-speed internet and phone service) and Waldemar S. Nelson Company (office furnishings).

Ed Comeaux is an accountant with Charles C. Theriot, CPA responsible for providing Business Valuation and Litigation Support Services. Ed has 26 years of professional and managerial experience with Robert Half International, Strategic Staffing Solutions, Whitney National Bank, EDS, Bank One, and Deloitte & Touche. He has 17 years of information technology management experience. Ed received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Nicholls State University, is a Certified Public Accountant and has obtained his certification as a Certified Information Systems Auditor. He is a member for the Thibodaux Volunteer Fire Department and the Thibodaux Lions Club having served as an officer in both organizations. Ed has been active in other community, civic, and professional organizations throughout his career.
