Special Request - Need support letters from LTC to Congress by March 15th

Last year, the LTC submitted a 2010 Federal appropriations request for $250,000 to help us with our statewide technology initiatives. Several of our member companies provided letters for us and our request was at first approved. We were initially in Senator Landrieu's appropriations bill for 2010 but due to budget cuts, we were removed from the bill. We are initiating an even greater push for 2011. We have submitted our 2011 request once again to Senators Vitter and Landrieu and Congressmen Scalise and Cao. In order to improve our chances over and above last year, we need a heavy dose of support letters to each one of them and would ask for your help in making this happen. To make it very easy for you, I have put together letters for each Congressional rep so you can simply cut and paste onto your letterhead; and then you can either mail them to their office or email me each letter and I will make sure they are received. If you wish to help us, just send me an email and I will send you each of the (4) support letters. Our goal is to get 50 - 75 letters of support to each Senator and Congressman from LTC supporters across the State, which we are told will go a long way in helping to approve our request. We could really use your support. Again, please let me know and I will email each letter to you. It should not take very long to do and our deadline is March 15th. Thank you for your consideraiton in this matter.

“Salute Our Troops” Event – The Office of the Lt. Governor, the Louisiana National Guard, and corporate sponsors will be showing our appreciation by giving the deploying troops a Louisiana-style celebration which will include a send- off concert featuring Louisiana food and music and some of Louisiana’s finest musicians. LTC News - Welcome to our New Membership Director out of Baton Rouge

Please welcome Jaclyn Craddock, as the LTC's new Membership Director. Jaclyn is a native of Baton Rouge, LA and a two-time graduate from LSU with Bachelor’s Degrees in English Literature and Communication Studies. After graduation in 2005, she began a career in recruiting for administrative and accounting personnel locally with Snelling Staffing Services, and then moved to Texas in 2007 where she joined an IT specialty recruiting firm, Odyssey Information Services. In May 2009, Jaclyn returned to Baton Rouge and Snelling to launch a new IT Professionals Services division and joined the Louisiana Technology Council (LTC) as an active member. In January 2010, Jaclyn left recruiting to join the LTC as their new full-time Membership Director and will be centralized in the LTC’s Baton Rouge office at 6867 Bluebonnet Blvd; helping to promote the benefits of being a member of the LTC and contributing to the economic development of the technology industry throughout the State of Louisiana.
