Short Survey request from the LTC: The Practice of Business Blogging

As part of our desire to continue to develop the technology industry across Louisiana, the Louisiana Technology Council is assisting the University of Louisiana with a research study pertaining to the practice of business blogging.

You are invited to participate in a survey designed to learn about business blog. A business blog is a novel way of publishing information by or with the support of an organization where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order.

A typical business blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic.

There are two goals of this project:

  1. To gain insight and understanding of the critical factors that lead businesses to create their own blog sites?
  2. To understand organizations awareness of their potential liabilities resulting from action of managers or employees in violation of the different laws (e.g., defamation of fellow employees, defamation of competitors, conspiracy law, security laws, privacy laws, etc.) when blogging?

To participate in the study, please follow the link below:

Your participation in this research will play a vital role in understanding what issues businesses should address before they come up with their own blogs. This survey will take about 12 minutes to complete.

The research team would be happy to share the findings of this study with you following the completion of the study.   Your participation is completely voluntary and all information will be kept strictly confidential.  If you choose not to participate, you may opt-out at any time during the survey.

This study is being conducted by Dr. Ramendra Thakur, Dr. Anne Keaty and Dr. Geoffrey Stewart, Dept. of Marketing and Hospitality, Moody College of Business, University of Louisiana – Lafayette, Lafayette, LA 70504.

If you have any questions about this study, you may contact Dr. Thakur at 337-482-6217, Dr. Keaty at 337-482-6217 and Dr. Stewart at 337-482-5915 or by email at:ramendra@louisiana.edukeaty@louisiana.edu  ; gstewart@louisiana.edu.

Thank you for your participation in this important research.
