Good News for LTC!! – 2011 Appropriations Bill – You can help!!
Thanks to Senator Mary Landrieu, the LTC’s request for $250,000 in funding is currently included in her 2011 Appropriations Bill. Although this is only a first step, if approved, this would be our first opportunity for funding at the Federal level which would allow us to become more of a statewide technology organization with increased opportunities for educational, networking and developmental programs. After meeting with the LTC, the Senator’s staff seem to be very impressed with our events and programs and believe we can continue to have a very positive impact on the economic development of the technology industry across the State (remember, Louisiana has grown from 49th in high tech employment to 40th in just the past two years!).
